Seller: Bring a Trailer Lot Number: #27398
Current Bid: $7,200
Location: Vancouver, CA
This 1969 Volkswagen Bus is a Westfalia pop-top camper that is finished in beige and equipped with a table, a folding bed, cabinets, and a sink. The van is said to have been sold new in Washington State and imported to British Columbia shortly thereafter, where it was stored in a barn for approximately 25 years before 2017. Power comes from an aircooled 1.6L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and a quick shifter and a solar power system were installed under previous ownership. Service performed since the seller’s acquisition in 2019 is said to have included replacement of a door handle, valve and carburetor adjustments, a compression check, an oil change, chassis lubrication, and more. This Type 2 Westy is offered with clean British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
This “bay window” Bus features corner turn signals, a painted wrap-around front bumper, and smaller taillights than those used on later models. The van was repainted in its current beige under previous ownership according to the seller, and a passenger-side step has been fitted. Rust is noted on the edge of the engine lid, and the taillight lenses are cracked.
