The bus is roadworthy – rebuilt motor, new brakes, and electrical has been gone over.
Here is a 1960 Volkswagen 11 window kombi bus. We will be doing an old-style auction, NO RESERVE. Here is your chance to own a historic VW split window bus. We got the bus from someone’s garage because they realized their hopes of being able to drive the bus around town was never going to happen. Now that we put the time and money into getting the bus roadworthy you don’t have to worry about being that guy that buys a project bus and it sits in the garage for years with no progress being made. You are buying a bus that you can bring home and start to enjoy the same day. With all the brakes being new and rebuilt, a strong motor installed, and the electrical dialed in and working she is ready to go. What’s a better time than now to own a bus during this time we live in. At least you and your family can enjoy a cruise around town. It definitely passes the time a little faster and great family adventures.
By no means are we selling this bus as restored – the pictures are accurate. She most certainly has her rust issues around the bottom of the bus. Very strong frame rails and structure so you can easily drive it the way it is. You could work at fixing the rust as you go but still can enjoy driving it. Or you can have us do the metalwork for you so you don’t have to worry about that part of it. As for the paint, someone ground on the original paint so we just sanded it down did a little painting, and blending to make a patina look. Lots of dings and dents. I would recommend getting a completely new rubber seal kit for doors and windows. Have any question let me know. It comes with a clean title. We can assist in setting up shipping, normally around $650 to the Los Angeles area and $600 to the Bay area.
